El Mojito Perfecto l The Perfect Mojito

Okay, El Mojito Perfecto /The Perfect Mojito

Ingredients:

• 1 tot Bacardi rum
• 1 tot Southern Comfort (yeah, a slight variation on my part)
• Lots of ice - 6 ice cubes, preferably crushed but if not, s'okay
• A handful of fresh mint leaves, preferably more if possible
• 1tspn sugar
• 250ml-300ml Soda water
• 2 tots lemon or lime juice

Utensils you will need:

• Pestle
• Cocktail shaker
• Tablespoon
• Single shot glass or measured tot pourer
• 375ml glass tumbler
• One straw
  

Method:

• In your cocktail shaker, add: mint leaves, lemon or lime juice, Bacardi, Southern Comfort and sugar.
  
• Using your pestle, grind your mint leaves well in the mixture of juices and spirits with sugar
• Put the lid on the shaker and give it a few hearty shakes
• Add the ice into your glass
• Pour the cocktail mixture into the glass
• Add the Soda water
• Add a good few more mint leaves
• Pop your straw in and swirl it round to mix the drink
• And then... take a sip! :D

Enjoy! The mojito is my personal favourite cocktail and with summer coming to an end here in South Africa I try to make 2 mojitos, or 3, every Saturday afternoon whilst savouring the last of the summer sunshine :)))
